Recipe of the Week - Chocolate Berry Almond Smoothie

Recently we purchased a Vitamix blender and we LOVE it!  I make everything from smoothies to soups, to dips and everything in between.  I use it daily.  It was an investment but it was well worth it.  It's wonderful for homemade hummus, mashed cauliflower and I even prepare my own flours and nut butters.

Top 10 Holiday Cooking Tips

I know the holidays can be stressful!  Shopping, cleaning, cooking, entertaining guests and did I mention cooking?  Let’s be real, there is so much pressure to produce the most amazing meal with all the decorations and perfectly behaved children, spouses and pets.  Many of us have, as I like to call it, the “Martha Syndrome”.  Insert your favorite Martha here: Martha from the Bible (Luke 10:38-42) or Martha Stewart!  Isn’t it funny that both of them have the same name?  Perfectionism is REAL and as much as we may love it, Pinterest doesn’t help!  LOL!

What rhymes with orange?

I’m not a big winter person and even though I grew up in the snow there is really only one thing, other than Christmas, that makes me happy about winter and that is citrus.  It’s citrus season!  Grapefruits, oranges, lemons and everything else citrusy is sweet, plentiful and cheap.
