Classically Trained Chef and Nutrition Enthusiast
Chef Robin takes great pride in creating dishes that will spark your inner chef while also pleasing your picky children. Robin received her culinary training under the tutelage of some of the best local chefs at Cuyahoga Community College.
Previously, she worked in the professional kitchen and taught community nutrition through the Ohio State University Extension office. As a mother to her amazing son Donovon, Robin understands the balancing act it takes to keep up with all your day to day responsibilities and prepare healthy meals that the whole family will eat and actually enjoy!
Robin has been an ambassador for the American Heart Association and was featured on the Robin Swoboda Show and Fox 8 as a guest chef. She has worked with many companies in the local area, including the Shore Cultural Center, Fresh Fork Market, Coit Road Market, Cleveland Heights University Heights Schools, The Heights Collaborative, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and many area churches, libraries and businesses.
Robin is the Chef-in-Residence for the Health Professions Affinity Communities (HPAC) program through the Northeast Ohio Medical Universities (NEOMED). She is proudly contracted as a travel chef with the US Olympic alpine ski team, where she gets the opportunity to travel the globe cooking with the team. She has also recently joined the MOM Squad, of 95.5 the fish, where she will dish out great recipes and other helpful information on their blog.
Robin’s first loves are God and her family. Her love of food stems from these constants in her life. She desires for families to prepare “soul food” - food that tastes good, feels good and does good things for our bodies. We need food that comes from the heart. Robin has a passion for all types of food specializing in local, farm to table, healthy, home style meals that not only bless the heart and soul but also the whole body. That is why Cooking with C.A.R.E is based upon the scripture Matthew 25:40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” Cooking blesses your family in more ways than one, and when you bless your family you bless God.
